How old do I need to be to join?
The minimum age for membership is 8. All children under 11 must be accompanied by an adult on training evenings in the winter months.
Applying for membership
To enable the Club to remain within the England Athletics Clubmark approved scheme it is a requirement that each applicant completes a separate form. It must be counter signed by a parent or guardian for any one under 18. Family membership is available and a reduced rate is applicable.(see Membership Form)
Please download the Membership Form (Word doc) and ensure that the form is filled in correctly and clearly. The completed form should be returned to the membership secretary along with the appropriate fee as stated on the form.
Any problems please bring the form to the club and ask a club official for help.
New Member Subscription rates

Membership is renewed annually on 1st January, if you join part way through the year you are still required to renew your membership the following January. Renewal notices are sent to members. New members may join at any time. Members are NOT eligible to compete in club races until they have paid their subscriptions. They must be on the clubs registration list to compete in championship and league events.
If a new member has a medical condition that is relevant to athletics i.e. uses an inhaler it is important that a coach is aware. All information is treated in confidence. Please note that we are an Athletics club and all members are encouraged to participate in competition.

Coming along for the first time
ALL NEW MEMBERS MUST ATTEND AN INDUCTION SESSION BEFORE THEY WILL BE ALLOWED TO JOIN IN ANY TRAINING SESSIONS/RUNS.
You are welcome to come along and try out the club before joining. Could potential new members, when making their first visit to the club, please arrive before 6.15pm on one of the Induction days in order that they attend one of the Induction Session Presentations, be signed in and allocated to a suitable group(See below for dates.) New members will be able to join in the sessions that take place after the induction session..
All other non members making their 2nd or 3rd run before becoming members should arrive before 6.55pm in order to sign in. You must become a member if you wish to continue running with the club after 3 trial runs.
